Against Malaria Foundation (AMF) is our partner for the long-lasting insecticide-treated mosquito net distribution program. We finance Against Malaria Foundation, which implements the solutions with the best evidence of effectiveness today. AMF purchases the mosquito nets in large volumes and coordinates and supervises their distribution. To date, AMF has already distributed more than 105 million mosquito nets, on a large scale in eight countries (Democratic Republic of the Congo, Ghana, Guinea, Malawi, Papua New Guinea, Togo, Uganda and Zambia) and on a small scale in many more.AMF supervises and coordinates the entire distribution process and is responsible for the purchase of the mosquito nets. Their work includes:- Identifying countries that need financing for the distribution of mosquito nets.
- Identifying collaborators (non-profit organizations or local government agencies) to carry out distribution.
- Identifying which types of mosquito nets to use based on malaria prevalence, insecticide resistance, and prices.
- Purchasing the mosquito nets and sending them to distribution partners.
- Ensuring implementation of agreed-upon processes, collecting data on distribution, and conducting surveys and follow-up studies to determine whether nets have reached their intended destinations and how long they remain in good condition.
